Welcome To Kennedy's!It's Kennedy's All-American Barber Club® eZine time again - which means another month has flown past. But, within the confines of those 4.29 weeks, the Kennedy's juggernaut has continued to march forward towards its eventual world domination of the tonsorial arts. Maybe we're overreaching a bit. After all, we really aren't that anxious to open Kennedy's outlets in, say, Afghanistan, Antarctica or Libya. But, the way we're selling franchises, it could happen. We've got fifty-one more barber clubs on the way as it is, so who are we to prevent Moammar Gadhafi from getting the straight razor shave of his life? And feel free to read into that what you wish. Because of our rapid expansion, we also felt it was time to take to the airwaves to extol the virtues of the Kennedy's All-American Barber Club® experience - and so we retained the services of the Florida-based, award-winning production company, Push Button Productions, to produce a :30 radio commercial, which you can partake of here. And, for those of you wondering when our first television commercial will be produced, please be advised that we sound better than we look (although, of course, our Kennedy's signature haircut and shave make us look as stupendous as possible!). Finally, what does Kennedy's have in common with "BusinessWeek," " The New Yorker" and "Esquire?" No, it's not that we have those magazines in our Barber Club locations - it's that we've all been named as one of the "Top 100 Lifestyle Blogs" by The Daily Reviewer internet site. Yes, you heard correctly - we have proven ourselves to be just as entertaining and informative as those high-priced city slicker writers with their so-called "experience" and high-and-mighty "education." We guess we showed them. More seriously, we appreciate the readers who helped us achieve this honor. And if you haven't been paying attention to our (now) award-winning blog, feel free to review our historic hits here. Enough bragging (at least until we have something else to brag about). Please enjoy the articles and blogs contained in this month's eZine - and please patronize a nearby Kennedy's for a great shave and haircut. But do yourself a favor - don't ask for the "Gadhafi." KENNEDY'S BARBER CLUB®: REMEMBERING MUSIC THAT SHOULD STAY FORGOTTEN Our Kennedy's All-American Barber Club® recently saluted the proud American tradition of barbershop quartet singing in a recent article (BARBERSHOP QUARTETS: OR, WHO WANTS TO JOIN "SPEBSQSA?"). 30,000 Americans still actively participate in it, quartets still perform in such public arenas as Disney World - and remember, even Homer Simpson found success in a barbershop quartet ("The Simpsons," Season 5, Episode 1 - when the Be Sharps conquered the music world)...continue reading Kennedy's All-American Barber Club® Blog Named One of Top 100 Lifestyle Blogs BARBERSHOP QUARTETS: OR, WHO WANTS TO JOIN "SPEBSQSA?" How Four-Part Barbershop Harmony Lives On At Kennedy's All-American Barber Club®, we haven't yet formed our own Barbershop Quartet (except for a cameo by one on our new radio spot, which you can listen to here). But we do have a fondness for the tradition - after all, we base our Kennedy's barbershop franchises on the classic barbershop vibe that spawned the sensational singing tradition that continues today...continue reading |
